Beyond Generational Stereotypes
Beyond Generational Stereotypes: Boosting Engagement and Innovation
by Addressing Hidden Age-Related Exclusion in Your Organization
A mix of perspectives, insights and values based on age, generation and life stage can fuel incredible innovation and creativity in your organization. These social group memberships can also be the hidden root of everyday workplace exclusion and conflict as coworkers and managers grapple with how to effectively communicate with colleagues across forms of generational difference.
During this interactive presentation, we will explore research-based insights for how to:
- Define the difference between workplace diversity, inclusion and employee voice
- Go beyond generational stereotypes and explore the role of various forms of organization-specific “generational” diversity that can make it difficult for new team members to “fit in” and fully contribute
- Help teams recognize and work through conflict or exclusion rooted in age--related difference in order to build more inclusive team communication and work practices
- Coach others to think more age-inclusively when designing strategies for recruitment, team development, leadership development, and promotion practices
Space is limited to 40 attendees. Register today.
