TeamKC Scouting Report | When you need a new spot for date night…

by Addie Linn | Jul 24, 2019

When you need a new spot for date night…
We’re happy to report that the new J. Rieger & Co. distilling facility is open and ready for business in the East Bottoms. Nothing says “romantic and sophisticated” quite like tastings, tours and a two story slide. Yep. The grand opening represents far more than new beginnings for J. Reiger & Co. It’s a symbolic kick-off point for the continued development of the East Bottoms neighborhood, soon to be widely referred to as “Electric Park.”

To escape the summer heat…
Check out the cozy cabin vibes at Front Range Coffeehouse and Provisions. Located in Fairway, KS, this Rocky Mountain inspired spot is rustic and chic all at once. Owned and operated by our friends at Made in KC, the joint serves up local coffee, beer and a few delectable snacks. Check out the grand opening on July 20 or stop in before then for an insider sneak peek.

This is the moment we’ve been waiting for…
What to say when KC creative and owner of Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters, Bo Nelson, opens his newest caffeine concept. Thee Outpost has officially opened inside local maker focused Collective Ex, featuring KC Print Garage, Sew KC and more. We haven’t stopped drinking Thou Mayest coffee, but we’re sure glad to see its new home base come to fruition.

If you need a new dance move…
Shuffle on over to the newest hangout at Boulevard Brewing Co. The “Rec Deck” is your new go-to spot for cracking a cold one and “shuffling a biscuit.” In addition to shuffle board games and cold brews, Boulevard is offering up foosball, board games, tasty eats and killer views. Two floors up from the well established Beer Hall, this spot is the perfect place to hang with friends.

Can you believe…?
Your favorite KC queens are back this Friday! The “Fab Five” is once again taking over Kansas City, bringing you the highly anticipated fourth season of Netflix’s Queer Eye. And don’t worry, you’ve still got plenty of time to binge the third season. What a perfect excuse to stay inside this weekend, avoiding summer’s hottest days yet.
