Aaron Francis is an Account Manager for Aston Carter, a division of Aerotek, specializing in the placement of Accounting & Finance professionals in temporary/contact, project-based and/or consulting assignments in the Kansas City market. Aaron is diligent in his client service and is committed to being the best in his profession. He joined Aston Carter in 2011 and has developed a wealth of relationships throughout the Kansas City market over his 8 year career. He was recently recognized for providing “Word Class” customer service to his clients and contractors, based on an independent survey.

Prior to joining Aston Carter, Aaron served for more than four years in the audit practice for EY in Kansas City. He led audit engagements for a variety of clients both large and small, primarily in the construction, agriculture, manufacturing and non-profit industries. Additionally, Aaron spearheaded the development of the volunteer program and after-school mentoring relationship between EY and the students of Gordon Parks Elementary School.

Aaron was born and raised in Saint Joseph, MO. He earned his Master of Accountancy from the University of Missouri in 2006 and upon graduation earned his CPA license, prior to beginning his career with EY. Aaron and his wife, Megan, a Speech Language Pathologist, live in Lee’s Summit with their children, Charlotte and Maxwell, and their dog, Frannie.

Molly Weaver, MBA, is the Director of Talent Acquisition for Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. She is responsible for all hiring for the hospital with the exception of physicians and has been with the hospital nine years. The goal of Talent Acquisition at Children’s Mercy is to ensure that the organization has the talent it needs in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills now and in the future.

Prior to joining Children’s Mercy she was a Senior Recruiting Manager with responsibilities for recruiting programs for T-Mobile USA. Her focus is on attracting and keeping top healthcare talent for Children’s Mercy while ensuring the candidate experience is the best it can be. Current initiatives include internal mobility, use of video in innovative ways, building internal skills through tuition programs and extending the reach into high schools to ensure talent is there for the future.

Kyle has been in Talent Acquisition for more than 15 years and has recruited nationwide for all levels of roles, most recently to add talent to the dairy cooperative. These roles range from member services, supply chain, finance, manufacturing and human resources.

 At Dairy Farmers of America, Kyle manages a team of seven recruiting and compensation professionals, focused on adding talent to our corporate office and 40+ additional locations. As a business partner, she supports other departments as the organization continues to grow.

Shari Soper has an extensive track record of delivering talent acquisition results at a global, and enterprise wide level that align with strategic business objectives.  She brings expertise in global talent acquisition process design, change management, innovation, and talent branding.  Presently, Shari is the Director of Talent Acquisition for the H&R Block headquarters, where she leads the talent acquisition function and team to deliver the attraction, selection, and onboarding of 80,000+ hires per year.

Prior to H&R Block, Shari spent ten years with Colgate-Palmolive, most recently as Regional Talent Acquisition Leader, The America’s.  Shari was previously on the Board of Directors for the Topeka Performing Arts Center, and also acted as steering committee chair for the Women Empowered Network of Hill’s Pet Nutrition.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University in Wichita, KS.

Fred Wise is the Human Resources Director for the Corporate Recruiting, Diversity and Inclusion groups for Hallmark Cards.  He is a graduate of the Olin School of Business from Washington University in St. Louis with a BS degree in Business Administrations (1989); and holds an MS degree in Organizational Development from American University & NTL Institute in Washington, D.C. (1996).

Fred’s human resource experience spans 25+ years with the Pepsi-Cola Company, Nabisco and Hallmark Cards. His expertise includes: recruiting, talent management, organization and leadership development; diversity & inclusion, succession and workforce planning; executive and international compensation; and H.R business partnership.

He has a strong passion for mentoring and coaching diverse talent and serving the community. He has served as a mentor, Membership chair and now an executive board member of the 100 Black Men of Kansas City. He has been a Hallmark team captain for Christmas in October – a non-profit organization, devoted to making significant, home improvements for the elderly, disabled, and under-served populations. He is an active, board member on the Urban League of Greater Kansas City. And also serves on the University of Missouri- Kansas City Bloch Management School Advisory Council.

In his spare time, Fred enjoys cycling, fitness, travel and spending time with his family. Fred is married to Mia Rucker-Wise, an HR manager at Unilever, in New Century, Kansas. They have two children who attend schools in the area.

Kyri Gorges leads the campus recruiting effort at KPMG Kansas City. She has over 13 years of experience in the public accounting industry with 6 years of client service experience and over 7 years of fulltime recruiting responsibilities. At KPMG, her responsibilities include the development and implementation of local office strategies, relationship development with key professionals at major universities, and serves and leads various national recruiting programs for one of the largest accounting firms in the world. Kyri also sits on the steering committee of the local chapter of KPMG’s Network of Women.

In addition to the aforementioned, Kyri was a member of the 2017 Centurions class, serves as an Advisory Board Member of the KU Accounting Advisory Board and sits on several Career Services Board around the Midwest; and serves on the Operation Breakthrough Leadership Council.

Her career began as Director of Operations of a chain of candy confection stores that sharpened her marketing skills. In 2008, she jumped head first into real estate and joined Malfer & Associates immediately after obtaining her real estate license. Most recently, after taking a short hiatus to focus on her greatest blessing, welcoming a daughter to her family, she is excited to be back where she belongs.

Kim is currently responsible for Spring Venture Group’s talent acquisition team. She has over 20 years of human resources experience specializing in talent acquisition. She has led both corporate and consulting teams globally. In her recent past, she led three human capital practices for IBM focusing on HR technology, talent acquisition process improvement and HR analytics. Prior to that, she led the recruiting organization for H&R Block where she had responsibility for hiring and on-boarding over 100k seasonal positions. Kim is a published blogger writing on topics such as passive candidate sourcing, hiring manager relationship and various talent acquisition technology that has resulted in press interest from Recruiting Trends.com and HR Executive.

She also is a charter member for the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals and has sat on various subcommittees helping to build the association’s body of knowledge.

Kim loves boating at Table Rock Lake and spending family time with her husband and two children. She resides in Lee’s Summit, MO.

Steve is a talent acquisition manager, vice president for State Street located in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been with State Street since 1998, serving Global Human Resources Talent Acquisition and Global Total Rewards-Shared Services in various capacities.

Currently, Steve serves as the Global Project Lead for Associate Recruiting, involved in planning and executing State Street’s Talent Acquisition Global Footprint Strategy. As a leader and change agent, he works with other partners in Global Human Resources, other support departments and business leaders in locations including Kansas City to help provide talent solutions and ensure State Street is recognized as a preferred employer.

Her strategic leadership skills bring collaboration and a unique view to the leadership team at Superior Bowen to ensure compliance and enhance the company culture. A graduate from Park University, Jenna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with emphasis in Human Resources and went on to receive her Master of Science in Management and Leadership from WGU. Amber Goreham is the Director of Career Services at the University of Central Missouri (UCM). In her role, her team is tasked with leading career readiness initiatives as well as working to connect students and graduates to opportunities that will ultimately help them to achieve First Destination Success beyond graduation. She joined the Career Services team in 2008 and has been in higher education for the past 15 years.

Amber is currently involved in the following organizations, National Association of Colleges and Employers, the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers, and The Career Services Collective. In addition to her roles and responsibilities at the university, Amber has also taken part in an external review committee of other Career Centers. Amber also teaches First Year Seminar, Business Communication, and Learning Strategy courses as needed.

Amber graduated from UCM with a Master of Science in Ethical and Strategic Leadership as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in the areas of Management and Human Resources. She is originally from FlowerMound, Texas and came to UCM to pursue her degree and to also be a part of the Jennies Bowling Program.

With more than 15 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry, Kimberly joined VML in 2014 as Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition. She became Associate Director, Talent Acquisition in 2016 and was promoted to Director, Talent Acquisition in January 2018. Today Kimberly is responsible for leading recruitment efforts for all North American offices as well being a strategic partner with company leadership to ensure staffing goals are met. Previously Kimberly spent four years at PlattForm Advertising (now Keypath Education) where she began as Account Executive and was promoted to Talent Acquisition Manager in the agency’s HR department. Kimberly holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Kansas State University (KSU) and an MSA in textile science, also from KSU. Kimberly is a VML brand champion who leverages the agency’s successes to develop talent acquisition strategies that will attract top talent. She’s also a social maven that tells the VML story via Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn and considers herself a problem solver, creative thinker, champion of people, strategist and hustler.
