AMC Entertainment Inc.

Amy Martin
Manager, Human Resources

Amy has been in Talent Acquisition for more than 12 years, and has been with AMC since 2014. Amy oversees the hiring for all corporate positions and leads AMC’s campus recruiting program. As a business partner she provides strategic leadership and direction to other departments as the company continues to grow.

Amy graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Prior to joining AMC, she worked in the telecommunication and restaurant industries. Originally from Nashville, Amy now calls Kansas City home. The Martins are avid sports fans (Go Royals!), and live in the Lee’s Summit area. When Amy is not working, you will find her at the nearest field/pool cheering on her daughters.

Black & Veatch

John McLaughlin
College Recruiting Manager

John currently leads the campus recruiting efforts for Black & Veatch, supporting all business lines in United States-based offices.

Responsibilities include implementation of college recruiting strategy, oversight of the internship program and relationship development at partner universities. 

John has been involved in recruiting for 10 years and has worked in talent acquisition supporting college recruitment efforts in information technology, business, engineering, construction and higher education. He has a passion for working with students as they prepare to enter the workforce and providing a high quality recruiting experience. 

He obtained his Professional in Human resources Certification in 2011 and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University. 

John is an avid Kansas City Sports fan and enjoys taking in a Chiefs or Royals game with family. In his free time you will find him exploring all which Kansas City has to offer with his wife Jennifer. They reside in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jennifer Parker

Jennifer Parker has been at Burns & McDonnell since 2006 working in the HR Department. Currently, Jennifer is the Recruitment Manager on the Engineering, Architecture and Professional Services side of the business.

Prior to working at Burns & McDonnell, she spent seven years at Truman Medical Center as a Nurse Recruiter and HR Manager.

Cerner Corporation

Erin Dill
Senior Team Lead, Cerner Careers

Erin has been at Cerner for over 10 years. She started her career in consulting, working with clients all over the country and lived in London for some time working with Cerner’s global efforts. 

She transitioned to the recruiting side of Cerner about four years ago and has spent some time in the campus recruiting space and now leads a team of recruiting specialists and manages one of Cerner’s largest recruiting tools, Experience Cerner Day. 

Erin is from Kansas City and has loved seeing all the growth and development that has taken place over the years. She is a big sports fan and enjoys staying active in the community. She lives in the Parkville area with her husband, Brian and young son, Landry.

Children's Mercy Hospital

Molly Weaver
Director of Talent Acquisition


Molly Weaver, MBA, is the Director of Talent Acquisition for Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. She is responsible for all hiring for the hospital with the exception of physicians and has been with the hospital seven years.

Prior to joining Children’s Mercy she was a Senior Recruiting Manager with responsibilities for recruiting programs for T-Mobile USA. Her focus is on attracting and keeping top healthcare talent for Children’s Mercy while ensuring the candidate experience is the best it can be. Current initiatives include utilizing social media, video interviewing and talent pooling to fill openings timely and with quality candidates.

Dairy Farmers of America

Kyle Wright
Director, Corporate Recruiting

Kyle has been in Talent Acquisition for more than 15 years and has recruited nationwide for all levels of roles, most recently to add talent to the dairy cooperative. These roles range from member services, supply chain, finance, manufacturing and human resources.

 At Dairy Farmers of America, Kyle manages a team of seven recruiting and compensation professionals, focused on adding talent to our corporate office and 40+ additional locations. As a business partner, she supports other departments as the organization continues to grow.

Kyle graduated from the University of Missouri – Kansas City with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Prior to joining DFA, she worked in the financial sector and temporary staffing industry.

EFL Associates

Angie Salmon
Senior Vice President – Executive and Board Search

Since Angie joined EFL Associates in 2004, she and her team have successfully completed over 130 senior-level search engagements. As Senior Vice President, she leads searches across a multitude of industries for board member, president/CEO, COO, CFO, CIO, chief sales officer, HR and director-level roles. 

Angie began her career as a consultant with Arthur Andersen as part of the “Strategy, Organization and People” group in Andersen’s consulting practice. She subsequently served as a Business Consultant and Team Lead for Campus Recruiting with Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ: CERN). As such, she managed Cerner’s campus recruiting efforts at approximately 30 universities nationwide, including university relations, candidate sourcing, recruiting, offer negotiation, and final hiring. 

A former NCAA Division I athlete in volleyball and track and field, Angie earned an undergraduate degree in business and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She chaired the Compliance Subcommittee on the UMKC Intercollegiate Athletic Committee and was Treasurer of the Bloch School of Business Alumni Board. Named to the inaugural class of the Kansas City Business Journal’s NextGen Leaders program, she also serves on the Board of the Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment (SAFE) and was a member of the WinWin Connections Committee of the Central Exchange, aimed at increasing gender diversity on corporate boards.

Garmin International, Inc.

Michelle Cormack
Senior Technical Recruiter

Michelle Cormack has 18 years of recruiting experience. She started her career at Garmin in 2007 as a Technical Recruiter and was promoted to Senior Technical Recruiter. Prior to joining Garmin, she was in the staffing industry as an IT recruiter for several years. She has recruited hundreds of employees over the years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and French from the University of Kansas.

A Kansas City native, Michelle is very involved in the Kansas City and Olathe communities and volunteers her time in many capacities. She currently serves on the KVC Health Services General Board, as well as the Kansas City Area Development Council TeamKC Board. She is actively involved with Toastmasters International, and recently graduated from Olathe Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Olathe 2015 program. In addition, she attended and graduated from the Olathe Citizens Police Academy in 2013. For the last 5 years, she has served as a Youth Mentor to a student attending Olathe Public Schools, and has also been a Big Sister for a year through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. She recently completed a 5-year term serving on Knox Presbyterian Church’s Personnel Team.

Carolyn Walters
Director of Talent Acquisition 

Carolyn has been with H&R Block for three years as their head of Talent Acquisition. In her current role she leads a team responsible for campus, corporate and seasonal hiring across the company. This includes a programs team that manages the annual hiring efforts of 80,000 tax office associates. 

Prior to joining H&R Block, Carolyn worked at Sprint for 20 years in a variety of HR roles including college recruiting program manager, compensation manager, and HR Business Partner. 
Carolyn received both her PHR and CCP certifications. She graduated from East Carolina University, where she was a member of the swim team. Carolyn, her husband George, and their three children have lived in Kansas City for 17 years and couldn’t think of a better place to raise a family who loves sports.  


Hallmark Cards, Inc.

Fred Wise
HR Director - Recruiting, Diversity & Inclusion

Fred Wise is the Human Resources Director for the Corporate Recruiting, Diversity and Inclusion groups for Hallmark Cards.  He is a graduate of the Olin School of Business from Washington University in St. Louis with a BS degree in Business Administrations (1989); and holds an MS degree in Organizational Development from American University & NTL Institute in Washington, D.C. (1996).

Fred’s human resource experience spans 25+ years with the Pepsi-Cola Company, Nabisco and Hallmark Cards. His expertise includes: recruiting, talent management, organization and leadership development; diversity & inclusion, succession and workforce planning; executive and international compensation; and H.R business partnership.

He has a strong passion for mentoring and coaching diverse talent and serving the community. He has served as a mentor, Membership chair and now an executive board member of the 100 Black Men of Kansas City. He has been a Hallmark team captain for Christmas in October – a non-profit organization, devoted to making significant, home improvements for the elderly, disabled, and under-served populations. He is an active, board member on the Urban League of Greater Kansas City. And also serves on the University of Missouri- Kansas City Bloch Management School Advisory Council.

In his spare time, Fred enjoys cycling, fitness, travel and spending time with his family. Fred is married to Mia Rucker-Wise, an HR manager at Unilever, in New Century, Kansas. They have two children who attend schools in the area.   

Honeywell FM&T

Lakeesha Scott
Senior Staffing and Diversity Specialist

Lakeesha currently leads the campus recruiting efforts for Honeywell, supporting all business lines in the Kansas City, and Albuquerque based offices. Core responsibilities include development of the annual strategy, oversight of the internship program and relationship building at partner universities. She joined the organization in December 2016, as Sr. Talent and Diversity Leader focused on attracting, hiring, and retaining TOP talent within the organization.

She brings over 21 years as an HR Practitioner, working with fortune 100 companies such as Quest Diagnostics, Citigroup, Yellow Freight, and University of Central Missouri. Lakeesha earned her BA in Human Resources Management, and is pursuing a Masters in Management and Leadership from Webster University.

Lakeesha is an avid college football fan, but is most excited to watch her sons, Craig Jr. play wide-receiver with the Naval Academy football team, and Zachary plays defensive back at WestPoint Academy during the fall months. She resides in Lee's Summit with her husband Craig Scott Sr., and son, Joshua Scott who currently attends Lee's Summit North High School. 


JE Dunn Construction

Michaela Ward
Manager of Talent Acquisition & Campus Relations


Michaela Ward has been working in Human Resources for over 10 years, and has been with JE Dunn Construction Company since 2014. Michaela leads the Talent Acquisition Team at JE Dunn, where she manages the group of individuals who are responsible for bringing the industry’s best and brightest into the organization – on every level. Michaela provides strategic leadership and direction for JE Dunn’s Campus Program, and oversees Talent Acquisition on a national scale.

Michaela graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and did graduate work in Human Resources at the University of North Texas.

Although not a native, Michaela and her family love Kansas City and all it has to offer.  The Wards are huge sports fans (Go Chiefs!), and live in the Blue Springs area. When Michaela is not working, you will find her at the nearest field/court cheering on her sons.


Kyri Gorges
College Relations Manager
Immediate Past TeamKC Advisory Board Co-Chair

Kyri Gorges leads the campus recruiting effort at KPMG Kansas City. She has over 11 years of experience in the public accounting industry with 6 years of client service experience and over 5 years of fulltime recruiting responsibilities. At KPMG, her responsibilities include the development and implementation of local office strategies, relationship development with key professionals at major universities, and serves and leads various national recruiting programs for one of the largest accounting firms in the world. 

Prior to that, Kyri led the campus recruiting efforts for the engineering and design firm, Black & Veatch, which included leading a team of campus recruiters and coordinators in executing the campus recruiting strategy for Black & Veatch U.S. operations; as well as serving as a consultant in their global campus recruiting strategy. Kyri also worked with the Building a World of Different Foundation at Black & Veatch to fund various pre-college and STEM activities, as well as funded various student organizations at the colleges that Black & Veatch recruited.

In addition to the aforementioned, Kyri is a member of the 2017 Centurions class, serves as an Advisory Board Member of the KU Accounting Advisory Board and sits on several Career Services Board around the Midwest; and volunteers bi-monthly at the local Ronald McDonald House.

Park University

Leah Fletcher
Director of Career Development

Leah Fletcher is the Director of Career Development for Park University’s undergraduate and graduate programs. She has been with Park University for three years now helping to develop relationships with organizations, improve students’ knowledge of companies, and connecting the two.

Throughout her time in higher education she has had the opportunity to work with students of all ages, backgrounds, and interests focusing on life after graduation—turning students’ academic achievements into a career they will enjoy and excel at. Leah graduated from the University of Nebraska with a master’s degree in higher education administration and from Northwest Missouri State University with her bachelor’s degree studying psychology.

Leah is a Missouri native and has developed a true passion for all things Kansas City - the people, the innovation happening, and the opportunity for growth.  

Russell Stover Chocolates

Tara Boldridge
Senior Recruiter 

Tara Boldridge joined Russell Stover Chocolates as their Senior Recruiter in April 2015. In this role, Tara is responsible for leading the recruiting efforts for Corporate, Retail and Field Sales positions.

Prior to joining Russell Stover Chocolates she spent 14 years at Hallmark Cards, Inc. in a variety of roles in Supply Chain before finding her way into Human Resources as a Recruiter primarily supporting the Supply Chain and IT divisions.

Tara hails from Tennessee and holds a B.S in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

State Street

Steven Green
Talent Acquisition Manager, Vice President 

Steven is the talent acquisition manager, vice president for State Street located in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been with State Street for 17 years, serving Global Human Resources Talent Acquisition in various capacities.

His current duties include managing a staff of eight and being responsible for talent acquisition strategy and execution for our Kansas City office as well as California offices in Sacramento and Irvine. As a leader and change agent, he works with other partners in Global Human Resources, other support departments and business leaders at various levels in his regions to help provide talent solutions and ensure State Street is recognized as a preferred employer.  

Steven is a a graduate of Truman State University, a member of SHRM and ATD, and previously worked in retailing for a regional retailer in Illinois. He relocated to live and work in Kansas City and to enjoy a tremendous opportunity with State Street.

Georgiane is a Kansas City native who is deeply ingrained in the community. She exhibits a true passion for real estate, and a drive to find clients the home and lifestyle they seek. Georgiane is a licensed broker and owns The Hayhow Group, which has closed over a billion dollars of sales in Kansas City. She is a dedicated lifestyle consultant, and is passionate about showing newcomers our amazing city.

Georgiane gives back to the community she loves as a Centurion Class of 2018 through the Greater Kansas City Chamber, a board member of Mercy Ambassadors at Children’s Mercy Hospital, and Tower After Hours committee at Starlight Theater.

Chrissy Navarro
Talent Sourcing Consultant

Chrissy Navarro joined UMB in 2008 and is currently a talent sourcing consultant in the Human Resources department. In this role, she uses advanced searching methods to identify top talent and supports the talent sourcing needs of a 10-person recruiting team. Additionally, Chrissy builds and maintains a talent pipeline for UMB for positions ranging from non-exempt to executive leadership.

Prior to her current role at UMB, Chrissy worked within the consumer services team as both a senior and executive administrative assistant, and as an assistant manager of a UMB banking center. She was formerly employed for 10 years with Bank of America as an assistant manager. She has 19 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Chrissy has several certification and accreditations, including, Advanced Certified Internet Recruiter, Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter, Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter, Certified Military Veteran Recruiter and Elite Certified Recruitment Expert. She is a member of the Asian Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Asian American Professionals.

Amy Ellzey
Director of People and Culture

Amy Ellzey is a proven people and culture leader from her experience at fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments in the Kansas City area. Following a belief that people strategy works hand in hand with brand and investment teams, Amy understands the vital role people play in the overall success of the company.

With a focus on transformation, Amy has shaped the human resources vision, culture, talent and development strategies that enabled Kansas City companies such as Virgin Mobile USA, Hostess Brands, Netsmart Technologies and DSI to scale through carefully panned growth. While at these companies, Amy applied her more than 10 years of experience from Accenture, where she developed expertise in organizational development, change management and transformation for high-growth companies.

Lending her “culture as a competitive advantage” expertise, Amy mentors tech startups and has a passion for helping people in the early stages of their careers tell their stories and seek an employment experience where they can leverage their strengths and build a foundation for their professional futures.
