Molly Weaver, MBA, is the Director of Talent Acquisition for Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. She is responsible for all hiring for the hospital with the exception of physicians and has been with the hospital nine years. The goal of Talent Acquisition at Children’s Mercy is to ensure that the organization has the talent it needs in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills now and in the future.

Prior to joining Children’s Mercy she was a Senior Recruiting Manager with responsibilities for recruiting programs for T-Mobile USA. Her focus is on attracting and keeping top healthcare talent for Children’s Mercy while ensuring the candidate experience is the best it can be. Current initiatives include internal mobility, use of video in innovative ways, building internal skills through tuition programs and extending the reach into high schools to ensure talent is there for the future.

Kyle has been in Talent Acquisition for more than 15 years and has recruited nationwide for all levels of roles, most recently to add talent to the dairy cooperative. These roles range from member services, supply chain, finance, manufacturing and human resources.

 At Dairy Farmers of America, Kyle manages a team of seven recruiting and compensation professionals, focused on adding talent to our corporate office and 40+ additional locations. As a business partner, she supports other departments as the organization continues to grow.

Kyle graduated from the University of Missouri – Kansas City with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Prior to joining DFA, she worked in the financial sector and temporary staffing industry.

Michelle Cormack has over 20 years of recruiting experience. She started her career at Garmin in 2007 as a Technical Recruiter and was promoted to Senior Technical Recruiter. Prior to joining Garmin, she was in the staffing industry as an IT recruiter for several years. She has recruited hundreds of technical candidates over the years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and French from the University of Kansas.

A Kansas City native, Michelle is very involved in the Kansas City and Olathe communities and volunteers her time in many capacities. In addition to serving on the Kansas City Area Development Council TeamKC Board, she also serves on the Olathe Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund Board and the Leadership Olathe Alumni Steering Committee. She serves as a Youth Mentor to students in the Olathe Public Schools, and has recently completed serving on the KVC Health Services General Board.

Michelle loves everything KC and everything Garmin. So, what better role than to work as a recruiter to bring strong technical talent into Kansas City to work at Garmin!

Fred Wise is the Human Resources Director for the Corporate Recruiting, Diversity and Inclusion groups for Hallmark Cards.  He is a graduate of the Olin School of Business from Washington University in St. Louis with a BS degree in Business Administrations (1989); and holds an MS degree in Organizational Development from American University & NTL Institute in Washington, D.C. (1996).

Fred’s human resource experience spans 25+ years with the Pepsi-Cola Company, Nabisco and Hallmark Cards. His expertise includes: recruiting, talent management, organization and leadership development; diversity & inclusion, succession and workforce planning; executive and international compensation; and H.R business partnership.

He has a strong passion for mentoring and coaching diverse talent and serving the community. He has served as a mentor, Membership chair and now an executive board member of the 100 Black Men of Kansas City. He has been a Hallmark team captain for Christmas in October – a non-profit organization, devoted to making significant, home improvements for the elderly, disabled, and under-served populations. He is an active, board member on the Urban League of Greater Kansas City. And also serves on the University of Missouri- Kansas City Bloch Management School Advisory Council.

In his spare time, Fred enjoys cycling, fitness, travel and spending time with his family. Fred is married to Mia Rucker-Wise, an HR manager at Unilever, in New Century, Kansas. They have two children who attend schools in the area.

Kyri Gorges leads the campus recruiting effort at KPMG Kansas City. She has over 13 years of experience in the public accounting industry with 6 years of client service experience and over 7 years of fulltime recruiting responsibilities. At KPMG, her responsibilities include the development and implementation of local office strategies, relationship development with key professionals at major universities, and serves and leads various national recruiting programs for one of the largest accounting firms in the world. Kyri also sits on the steering committee of the local chapter of KPMG’s Network of Women.

In addition to the aforementioned, Kyri was a member of the 2017 Centurions class, serves as an Advisory Board Member of the KU Accounting Advisory Board and sits on several Career Services Board around the Midwest; and serves on the Operation Breakthrough Leadership Council.

Jessica holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a Master’s in Public Administration from Missouri State University. She was formally with the Platte County EDC from 2014 – 2016 and focused on business retention and expansion and workforce efforts.  In 2017 Jessica transitioned to the Lee’s Summit EDC to establish the Business Retention | Expansion program for the Community.  She is responsible for managing the Business Retention and Expansion program (BRE) as well as workforce development initiatives.

She has been involved with several KC Metro organizations, including World Trade Center – Kansas City and the Regional Workforce Intelligent Network (RWIN) with Mid-America Regional Council. She recently became co-chair for RWIN. She is also involved with the Lee’s Summit Business Roundtable and serves as an Alliance Board Member for the Summit Technology Academy.

Jessica resides in Kansas City, MO. with her son Jordan. She spends her free time cheering him on in wrestling, baseball and soccer or with friends and family.

Kelly Dippold is assistant vice president and manager of talent acquisition for Lockton Companies, where she has worked since 2010. Before joining Lockton, she honed her human resources and recruiting skills at Sprint, Embarq and CenturyLink. She earned her bachelor of science in business administration at the University of Kansas and has since earned her PHR and SHRM-CP certifications. A key cultural aspect of Lockton is focused on giving back to the community, and Kelly leads by example. She’s been a volunteer for Operation Breakthrough, Blue Valley Schools, Boy Scouts of America and the Ronald McDonald House.

When she’s not working or volunteering her time, she has focused her energies on becoming an award-winning athlete. Kelly was the 2013 Kansas City Corporate Challenge Alex George Award Recipient, 2014 KC Sports Commission Sportswoman of the Year, and the 2015 USA Triathlon Masters Triathlete of the Year. In addition, Kelly is a Triathlon Age Group National & World Champion.

Kim is currently responsible for Spring Venture Group’s talent acquisition team. She has over 20 years of human resources experience specializing in talent acquisition. She has led both corporate and consulting teams globally. In her recent past, she led three human capital practices for IBM focusing on HR technology, talent acquisition process improvement and HR analytics. Prior to that, she led the recruiting organization for H&R Block where she had responsibility for hiring and on-boarding over 100k seasonal positions. Kim is a published blogger writing on topics such as passive candidate sourcing, hiring manager relationship and various talent acquisition technology that has resulted in press interest from Recruiting Trends.com and HR Executive.

She also is a charter member for the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals and has sat on various subcommittees helping to build the association’s body of knowledge.

Kim loves boating at Table Rock Lake and spending family time with her husband and two children. She resides in Lee’s Summit, MO.

Steven is the talent acquisition manager, vice president for State Street located in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been with State Street for 17 years, serving Global Human Resources Talent Acquisition in various capacities.

His current duties include managing a staff of eight and being responsible for talent acquisition strategy and execution for our Kansas City office as well as California offices in Sacramento and Irvine. As a leader and change agent, he works with other partners in Global Human Resources, other support departments and business leaders at various levels in his regions to help provide talent solutions and ensure State Street is recognized as a preferred employer.  

Steven is a a graduate of Truman State University, a member of SHRM and ATD, and previously worked in retailing for a regional retailer in Illinois. He relocated to live and work in Kansas City and to enjoy a tremendous opportunity with State Street.

A graduate from Park University, Jenna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with emphasis in Human Resources and went on to receive her Master of Science in Management and Leadership from WGU. She is a certified HR professional from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP), a national SHRM member, a SHRM-KC Member, and a part of the Kansas City Area Development Council as a board member for Team KC. Erin currently manages employer relations for the Bloch Career Center at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In this role, Erin provides strategy to developing employer relationships, maintaining existing relationships, and provides opportunities for students to network with potential employers. She has worked in higher education for 7 years in a variety of roles including Admissions, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, and, most recently, Career Services. She has a passion for working with college students and helping them realize their potential by connecting them with potential employers.

She graduated with both her bachelor’s degree (Organizational Communication) and master’s degree (Higher Education Administration) from Northwest Missouri State. Go Bearcats! She also loves working with young women and in her spare time, she serves as the chapter advisor for her sorority, Delta Zeta.

Erin is originally from southern Missouri but has called Kansas City home since 2014 with her husband Adam and their daughter, Caroline.

With more than 15 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry, Kimberly joined VML in 2014 as Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition. She became Associate Director, Talent Acquisition in 2016 and was promoted to Director, Talent Acquisition in January 2018. Today Kimberly is responsible for leading recruitment efforts for all North American offices as well being a strategic partner with company leadership to ensure staffing goals are met. Previously Kimberly spent four years at PlattForm Advertising (now Keypath Education) where she began as Account Executive and was promoted to Talent Acquisition Manager in the agency’s HR department. Kimberly holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Kansas State University (KSU) and an MSA in textile science, also from KSU. Kimberly is a VML brand champion who leverages the agency’s successes to develop talent acquisition strategies that will attract top talent. She’s also a social maven that tells the VML story via Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn and considers herself a problem solver, creative thinker, champion of people, strategist and hustler.
