Lauren Bertram is the Talent Acquisition Manager at Burns & McDonnell with over 16 years of recruitment experience in a variety of industries including healthcare, information technology, engineering, architecture, construction and environmental consulting.

She loves all things recruitment, candidate/employee experience, data analytics, STEM outreach and Diversity & Inclusion. Lauren leads an amazingly talented team of 30 employee-owners who share a like-minded passion for bringing the best talent to Burns & Mac!

Lauren is a Kansas City native who graduated from Baker University with a BS in Management and Marketing. She lives in Brookside and loves everything our city offers her and her family. She is grateful to be a part of the TeamKC board and excited for KC’s continued bright future!

Molly Weaver, MBA, is the Director of Talent Acquisition for Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. She is responsible for all hiring for the hospital with the exception of physicians and has been with the hospital nine years. The goal of Talent Acquisition at Children’s Mercy is to ensure that the organization has the talent it needs in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills now and in the future.

Prior to joining Children’s Mercy she was a Senior Recruiting Manager with responsibilities for recruiting programs for T-Mobile USA. Her focus is on attracting and keeping top healthcare talent for Children’s Mercy while ensuring the candidate experience is the best it can be. Current initiatives include internal mobility, use of video in innovative ways, building internal skills through tuition programs and extending the reach into high schools to ensure talent is there for the future.

Dairy Farmers of America

Krista has been in Talent Acquisition for 10 years and has recruited nationwide for all levels of roles, most recently focusing on adding talent to a national dairy cooperative. These roles range from member services, supply chain, finance, IT, manufacturing and human resources.

At Dairy Farmers of America, Krista is responsible for full cycle recruiting focused on adding talent to DFA’s corporate office and 90+ additional locations, both domestic and international. Krista also manages DFA’s internship and college recruiting programs. She is passionate about connecting talented candidates with a variety of job opportunities at DFA.

Krista graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Management: Human Resources. Prior to joining DFA, she worked in the financial services industry.

Avery Adair
Talent Acquisition Manager

Avery Adair is an Assistant Manager within the Talent Acquisition function for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. In this role, he supports the Bank’s recruitment functions with emphasis on programming related to entry-level talent. This support includes responsibility for campus and intern programs as well as various talent needs across the Bank’s seven state region.

Avery joined the Bank in 2015 and has held various leadership roles since 2019. He holds a bachelors degree in Management and a MBA in Business & Organizational Leadership from Pittsburg State University.

In her current role at Garmin, Caroline recruits intern and entry level talent, as well as managing the recruitment strategy for several core universities partnered with Garmin. Though raised on a farm in rural northwest Missouri, she has been a proud Kansas Citian for over six years. After graduating with her Bachelors in Public Communication from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, she has gone on to gain over four years experience in HR and recruiting, first at Cerner Corporation and now at Garmin.

Danielle is the Recruitment Marketing Manager at H&R Block. As a marketing professional on a Talent Acquisition team, Danielle brings a unique perspective and creative lens to talent attraction. Since joining the H&R Block team in September of 2018, she’s launched a talent brand initiative where she leads the rollout of the company’s fresh talent brand in alignment with the company’s overall brand refresh.

A proponent of elevating company culture and talent, she is involved in many aspects of the business and draws inspiration from her involvement in the company’s culture committee, campus recruiting team, and candidate experience group. She also serves as a Co-Lead for the H&R Block Women’s Network Communications Committee.

Prior to joining H&R Block, Danielle started her career in Southern California – focusing on recruitment strategies, digital communications, and employer branding. Danielle graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Business Marketing and immediately applied her education to her work.

Michele Adams is a full-cycle Recruiter at Henderson Engineers. With more than 10 years of recruitment and talent acquisition experience, mainly focused in engineering, she has a passion for finding the best talent and matching them with their next great opportunity.

At Henderson, she helps lead recruiting efforts for the firm, both locally and nationwide. Michele loves building partnerships with firms' managers and really digging deep with them to learn all there is to know about that specific team and role.

Finding good talent is a hard job but Michele prides herself on making sure that the candidate and the firm are both happy with their decision. Her job is more than just “filling seats” but rather helping grow someone’s career while being a valuable player for the team!

Erin is the Global Recruiting Leader for Hallmark Cards, and a founding member of the TeamKC Board of Advisors, with more than 17 years of experience in talent acquisition, creative, product development, talent development, and culture.

A designer by trade and a passionate people-person by nature, Erin brings a unique skillset to the talent acquisition space. She describes herself as a creative thinker, culture driver, community builder and curious connector, and enjoys bringing these talents to the recruiting space for one of the world’s most beloved brands.

Erin earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Iowa State University. She lives in Shawnee, KS with her husband Eric and three daughters, and enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, cooking, and eating local.

Kimberly is a Sr. Staffing Specialist at Honeywell and has a passionate focus on Strategic Staffing, HR Process Development, and managing hiring initiatives for Information Technology, Quality, Program Management, Procurement, and Global Security. Kimberly graduated from Ottawa University with her Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management and has experience in multiple Human Resources roles, alongside management and field marketing experience. Prior to joining Honeywell, Kimberly worked in Talent Acquisition and Field Marketing Departments at H&R Block from 2011-2017.

Kansas State University - Olathe

Lauren Racki Lauren Racki

Lauren Racki is the professional development manager at K-State Olathe and a proud Kansas City native.

She develops and oversees noncredit programs that address workforce talent gaps in Greater Kansas City. She does this by linking K-State and regional subject matter experts with programming in animal health regulatory affairs, leadership skills, food systems, digital skills and other strategic areas that align with workforce needs. She plans all aspects of individual and customized workshops.

From December 2016 to October 2021, she served as the admissions representative/recruiter for the K-State Olathe campus.

Racki is an experienced community builder. Prior to joining K-State Olathe, she served as the program and events director at the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. In that role, she increased enrollment in their Leadership Northeast program and expanded engagement at multiple annual events.

She also has received multiple awards for her leadership and community involvement.

Racki has a master's degree in adult learning and leadership and a bachelor's degree in interior design with a minor in leadership studies from Kansas State University.

Brandi RiggsBrandi Riggs is Director, Human Resources at McCownGordon Construction. She leads the Human Resource team to attract and retain the best industry talent through engagement and associate experience initiatives.  She also leads the Wellbeing Team, Inclusion Team (D&I), and Women in Leadership programming at McCownGordon.

Brandi’s background includes sales management, human resources, and organizational development. In addition to the TeamKC Advisory Board, she serves on the Board of Directors as Past President of the Society for Human Resource Management of Greater Kansas City, on the Avila Board of Counselors, as a member of the HealthyKC Workplace Wellness Action Team, and on the Board of Directors at her local church.

Travis Lewis has been a professional in the recruiting industry for 22 years. He is currently the Vice President for Expansion and Innovation for an International company in The Adecco Group, overseeing multiple markets including Overland Park. This oversight includes various specialized recruiting divisions: Accounting Principals, Ajilon, Ajilon Healthcare, Paladin, Parker + Lynch, and Parker + Lynch Technology. These divisions include recruiting specialization in Accounting, Finance, HR, Healthcare (clinical and non-clinical), Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, IT, Engineering, and Administrative Professionals. Travis has led the Kansas City Branch to be a top notch and diversified recruiting team within Adecco, who has more than 80 Professional Service recruiting offices (many of which are in major markets). His Overland Park office has the second highest market share in the country. He has received the highest recognition in the company qualifying for Gold Champions Club, along with multiple awards that include personal production, top profit growth, special recognition for profit increases, and the company’s Core Value Award. Travis and his team have partnered with the KCADC for multiple years and assisted KCADC in specific areas to help bring new opportunities to Kansas City. Mika is a proud Kansas citian and UMKC alumni. She loves all things KC including the amazing food, creative community full of entrepreneurial spirits and that you can experience all four seasons in one day.

Summer Dean is the VP of Talent Acquisition for Spring Venture Group. In this role, she oversees SVG's full-cycle recruitment and employee screening functions across all of their locations and job functions.

Summer is passionate about the candidate experience and ensuring her team is providing a state-of-the-art recruitment process to both their internal and external customers. She spends her time watching her daughter play soccer and run Cross Country and Track.

Summer joined SVG in late 2021, but has led recruitment teams for over a decade. Summer holds an BA- Arts Communication as well as an MBA and MM/PA from University of Phoenix.


Sheri RatliffSheri Ratliff

Sheri Ratliff currently holds the position of director Talent Acquisition at T-Mobile, with responsibility for all Enterprise recruitment efforts. Responsibilities include partnering with the various business units to forecast future talent needs and identify talent for current opportunities. Driving strategy for recruitment marketing, branding, candidate and manager experience while attracting diverse and qualified candidates.

With more than 16 years at Sprint (now T-Mobile), Sheri led a variety of operations and shared services teams, ranging from Payroll, Employee Helpline & Transactions, Commissions, Accounts Payable and HR Technology.

Sheri is actively engaged with several workforce initiatives, holding a seat on the KU Edwards Workforce Advisory board, Kansas City Veterans Coalition, Consumer Technology Association 21st Century Workforce Council and represents Sprint on the Google IT Certificate Program.

Having an insatiable desire to innovate with a focus on organizational effectiveness, Sheri leverages analytics and strategic partnerships to achieve best in class results. This deliberate and precise coordination can be tracked back to her Marine Corp roots. Having brought the vital nutrients to her fellow soldiers now bringing the vital nutrients to Sprint.

Sheri holds a BA in Management from Baker University, emphasis on leadership. Prior to her tenured background in corporate America, Sheri obtained the rank of Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.
