With a full calendar year under my belt leading TeamKC, I’m enthusiastically dubbing 2024 “the year of momentum.” Following the “year of no bad ideas,” when we tried new things, asked for your feedback and took calculated risks along the way, together we created a positive force that has propelled TeamKC forward.

With the KC region on a global stage, and so much happening here for business and lifestyle, this momentum is only expected to grow. TeamKC is positioned for continued success along with our partners in this new year.

What’s in store for 2024?

TeamKC Network | We’re focused on bringing high-quality events and opportunities for the network to connect and share thought leadership. This includes the 2024 TeamKC Training Camp, regular roundtables and additional focused discussions.

Tools & Access | You can expect an amplified TeamKC Intern Program to engage and connect KC interns across the region. From KC 101 Presentations, a KC Bucket List, events — including Intern Night at the K — and regular communications, we’ll keep your interns informed about all that our region has to offer.

Collaboration | In lockstep with other KCADC initiatives — KC SmartPort, KC Global Design, KC Animal Health Corridor and KC Heartland — we will attract business and talent to the region while continuing to support existing employers’ needs to attract and retain talent. And collaboration doesn’t stop there — the connections we make in our community are a valued part of TeamKC’s ecosystem.

KC Heartland is the unified voice of our region, and TeamKC provides the strategic direction for talent-facing resources to help showcase why candidates should choose KC each day. Be on the lookout for even more exciting updates to the newly digitized KC Options magazine, which also remains available in print.

TeamKC’s game plan is already in play. We’re also ready to adapt as opportunities and needs arise because we know that some of the biggest wins come from unexpected moments — after all, who had an 87 + 13 combo in their 2023 projections?
