by Addie Linn | Jan 10, 2019

So much for resolutions…
If any of your 2019 goals are food related, you may as well just hit pause because KC Restaurant Week (KCRW) is officially upon us, January 11-20. This ten-day bonanza offers three-course meals for both lunch ($15) and dinner ($33) at some of KC’s most popular and highly-rated restaurants. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy some of KC’s fanciest fixin’s at incredible prices - make a reservation today, people!!

While we’re talking about food…
No surprise to us, another KC establishment is ranked on an impressive list. According to OpenTable, Cafe Provence in Prairie Village is one of the top 100 restaurants in America. Cafe Provence boasts a menu of fine French cuisine, an extensive wine list and even a mini French market. Oh, and speaking of PV … check out this article on some of the coolest new shops populating the area.

When your kids need a bedtime story...
Jack and Jill went up the Strawberry Hill… and stayed there forever because it was ammaazzzinng. Seriously, if you haven’t had a chance to check out this area of Kansas City, we promise it’s worth your while. Enjoy Strawberry Hill’s rich history, divine architecture and a slew of locally-owned restaurants and businesses. Not sure where to start? Check out this guide.

What to say when your car breaks down on the freeway…
Reality bites. Unless it’s virtual reality we’re talking about. FlipSwitch VR is the newest hang out in the Crossroads Arts District for adventurists and gaming fanatics alike. Grab friends and step into a fully-immersive gaming experience. We’re talking real action here - fighting zombies, crushing skeletons and pretty much the annihilation you’ve only seen in movies. FlipSwitch also books private events such as parties, corporate gatherings and team building sessions. I mean, what better way to bond with your coworkers than to fight off an army of zombies? C’mon.

The best business advice we’ve ever received…
Build an empire. If that means building a network of delicious confectioneries throughout the KC metro, we’re down with it. KC Chocolatier, Christopher Elbow, is adding to his list of brick-and-mortar locations with “Fairway Creamery.” This spot off Mission Road will land in May to serve made-from-scratch donuts, coffee from local vendors and Elbow’s coveted Glacé Artisan Ice Cream. Just in time for summer.
